As you cruise the Pacific, you’ll pass historic landmarks such as San Lorenzo Island, the largest in Peru, and El Frontón Island, once the site of a notorious prison. You’ll also explore the Cavinzas Islands, teeming with marine life and bird colonies.

After your return to Lima, take time to enjoy the city’s world-class culinary scene, perhaps trying a fresh ceviche or a local fusion dish.

In the evening, experience the enchantment of the Magic Water Circuit at Parque de la Reserva. Enjoy the dazzling display of colorful fountains, music, and light effects that come together to create a magical atmosphere and an unforgettable end to your day.

After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire. Upon arrival, our team will welcome you and take you to the Sacred Valley, which will be great for acclimatizing as it is at a lower altitude than Cusco. 

Along the way, you will stop to visit a charming llama and alpaca farm, where you can interact with these iconic Andean animals, learn about their cultural importance, observe traditional weaving demonstrations, and capture beautiful photos.

Next, explore the vibrant town of Pisac and ascend to its scenic archaeological site. There, your guide will reveal the fascinating history and remarkable engineering of the Inca civilization.

After your visit, enjoy an authentic lunch crafted with fresh, local ingredients, a true taste of the Sacred Valley’s gastronomy.

By late afternoon, you’ll check in at your hotel. The evening is at your leisure to simply relax in the peaceful mountain setting.

Today, you’ll visit two of the Sacred Valley’s most remarkable sites: the Maras Salt Mines and the Moray Circular Terraces.

Start with the stunning Maras Salt Mines, over 3,000 shimmering ponds carved into the mountainside, still harvested by local families using techniques passed down through generations. This dazzling patchwork of white and gold is both visually striking and culturally rich.

Next, explore the fascinating Moray terraces, a masterpiece of Inca agricultural engineering. These circular depressions created microclimates that allowed for advanced crop experimentation, showcasing the ingenuity of Inca innovation.

After a morning of exploration, enjoy lunch at a delicious restaurant in the Sacred Valley.

Following lunch, transfer to Ollantaytambo to board the train to Aguas Calientes (also known as Machu Picchu Town). Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and prepare for your visit to Machu Picchu tomorrow.

OPTIONAL: For added adrenaline or tranquility, consider exploring Moray & Maras via ATV or horseback riding tours. 

This morning, your guide will meet you for the short shuttle ride to the entrance of the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, you’ll begin a guided exploration of this sacred citadel. The harmony between its cultural history and natural surroundings is simply breathtaking. As you walk through the ruins, your guide will share insights into the site’s fascinating architecture, spiritual significance, and the many theories surrounding its purpose.

After the guided tour, you’ll have free time to wander through Machu Picchu’s terraces, stairways, and hidden corners at your own pace. Take in the panoramic views, feel the energy of the citadel, and capture stunning photos to remember this unforgettable experience.

Later, you’ll descend by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll board the train back to the Sacred Valley. Upon arrival at the station, a representative will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel in Cusco.

Today, you’ll dive into the rich history and vibrant culture of Cusco with a guided city tour. This experience includes visits to some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, such as the Sun Temple Qoricancha, the majestic Cathedral, the impressive Sacsayhuamán fortress, and the archaeological sites of Qenqo and Tambomachay.
