Upon arrival in Cusco, a Peru & U representative will greet you at the airport and transfer you to the Sacred Valley. Its lower elevation makes it the perfect place to begin acclimating, all while taking in the region’s breathtaking Andean landscapes.
Your first stop is a local llama and alpaca farm, where you’ll interact with these iconic animals, learn about their cultural role, and observe traditional weaving techniques using their wool.
Continue to the historic town of Pisac and its impressive archaeological site. Explore ancient Inca terraces and ruins as your guide shares the site’s fascinating history and significance.

You’ll be picked up from your hotel around 5:30 a.m. for the drive to the trailhead. The hike to the viewpoint is relatively short and gentle, though the high altitude adds some challenge to the inclines. After reaching the summit and taking in the stunning landscape, you’ll descend and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch before returning to Cusco, arriving around 5:00 p.m.
